Description
Ocoho is a young woman from Cyfandir, trained as an apprentice in the elite Order of Sorcerer-Knights who protect the kingdom from Nemesis threats. She possesses brown skin, long greenish-black hair often braided on one side, and brown eyes. Her standard attire is a white tunic over black clothing, leather boots, arm guards, and a hooded green cape. In battle, she dons armor: a breastplate, shoulder and knee guards, and feather-adorned bracelets. Her skull-shaped knee guards function as Fantasia-emitting weapons. A distinctive curse mark below her ear allows anyone touching it to control her actions, erasing her subsequent recollection.
Growing up in Caislean Merlin, Ocoho aspired to become a full Sorcerer-Knight to serve her community. Rigorous training defined her early life, though she initially struggled to distinguish herself among peers like Mordred and Sagramore. Her trajectory shifted during a Nemesis hunt when she encountered Seth. Disregarding orders from her commander, Lord Brangoire, she collaborated with Seth to protect civilians from collateral damage, prioritizing their safety over strict adherence to authority. This defiance caught Queen Boudica’s attention, leading to royal acknowledgment of Ocoho’s bravery and empathy.
Ocoho’s character combines determination, a strong sense of duty, and a rebellious streak. She exhibits a friendly yet assertive demeanor, sometimes invading personal space while consistently fighting for others. Her resolve solidified during the conflict against the Inquisition and revelations of conspiracies within Cyfandir. She discovered traitors among the Sorcerer-Knights working with the Faithful of the Hermit, a faction manipulating her curse to exploit her as "Dullahan," a spectral figure terrorizing peasants interacting with foreign merchants. During this conflict, her bond with her dragon-raccoon mount Draccoon proved pivotal; critically injured, Draccoon’s spirit freed her from psychic control via her curse within the spiritual plane known as the Sidh.
After the battle of Caislean Merlin, Queen Boudica named Ocoho heir to the throne of Cyfandir, elevating her to princess. This marked her transition from knight-apprentice to leadership. She subsequently joined Seth’s group to search for the Radiant. Her relationships deepened during this journey, particularly with Seth; their initial camaraderie evolved into mutual trust and romantic feelings, underscored by moments of near intimacy. Her friendship with Mélie strained when Ocoho’s use of Gysoni trapped them in Mélie’s traumatic memories, accidentally triggering a dissociative personality shift and causing Ocoho lasting guilt.
Ocoho wields magical abilities centered around Fantasia manipulation. Her signature technique is Gysoni (Welsh for "Harmonize"), linking multiple individuals’ senses for coordinated strategy and communication, symbolizing Sorcerer-Knight unity. She demonstrates exceptional proficiency, sometimes using it to assume command during crises. Her combat skills include Deine, channeling Fantasia into her skull-shaped knee guards to launch them as controlled projectiles or direct-impact weapons; Cyfyngu, creating containment fields to immobilize targets, enhanced collaboratively; Cromen, generating protective domes by absorbing ambient Fantasia; and transforming her bracelets into retractable shields for offense or defense.
Her development culminates in balancing leadership responsibilities with her commitment to Seth’s quest. She confronts her curse as a challenge to overcome, embodying knighthood ideals through actions prioritizing communal protection over personal ambition. This journey reinforces her role as a bridge between Cyfandir’s traditions and broader efforts to unite humanity against shared threats.
