Description
Kibō Kohinata, younger sister to Mangetsu Kohinata, anchors their sibling dynamic with responsibility, often clashing with Mangetsu’s carefree unpredictability and air of obliviousness. Though her irritation surfaces frequently, an undercurrent of protective loyalty drives her actions, balancing her sister’s cheerful yet insecure demeanor in their classic "foolish sibling, responsible sibling" interplay.

As a middle school student, she crosses paths with Nene Rin, a classmate secretly embroiled in the Granbelm tournament’s magical battles. Kibō steadily becomes Nene’s steadfast ally, grounding her with practical support and forging a bond that persists even as Nene’s hidden struggles unfold. After the tournament’s conclusion, the Magiaconatus erases Kibō’s memories of Mangetsu—a side effect of her sister’s artificial creation—yet during a chance camping encounter, Kibō instinctively welcomes Mangetsu as a newfound companion, reigniting their severed ties without understanding their shared past.

Raised in a family oblivious to magic, Kibō’s perception of Mangetsu is molded by the Magiaconatus’s reality-altering influence, which sustains her household’s illusion of normalcy. Though supernatural forces reshape her world, Kibō remains detached from the underlying conflicts, her interactions with Nene and the rekindled connection to Mangetsu quietly underscoring her role as a stabilizing force amid chaos.
