Description
Sasro Zabi, second son of Degwin Sodo Zabi, serves as vice chairman of the Autonomous Republic of Munzo and later leader of the Principality of Zeon. He directs the Zeon Party's national campaign department, specializing in manipulating public opinion to advance his family's political agenda. His responsibilities include framing the Earth Federation for Zeon Zum Deikun's death to justify hostilities and consolidate Zabi power.

Sasro exhibits a strict, short-tempered personality and demonstrates ruthlessness toward family. When Kycilia Zabi allows Deikun's children to escape with Ramba Ral, Sasro violently slaps her, drawing blood, and insists the Ral family must be eliminated to prevent interference with Zabi plans, despite Dozle Zabi's objections. He later dismisses Dozle's concerns about family unity, criticizing his brother for excessive softness.

During Zeon Zum Deikun's funeral procession in U.C. 0068, Sasro is assassinated in a car bombing. Dozle survives the attack with facial and bodily lacerations. Official Zabi propaganda blames Jimba Ral for the assassination.

Conflicting accounts exist regarding Sasro's assassination: one theory suggests Kycilia orchestrated the bombing as revenge for her public humiliation and assault; an alternate explanation from *Mobile Suit Gundam The Plot to Assassinate Gihren* proposes the Zabi family eliminated Sasro to prevent a leadership crisis, with Leopold Fieseler's investigation revealing Sasro's charismatic popularity and citizen rapport contrasted against Gihren's aloofness, and Hoth Fieseler implying his death preempted a potential civil war between their rival factions; the Mobile Suit Gundam novelization briefly references Gihren's regret over Sasro's death and his noted suitability for government administration.

Sasro appears in the 1979 *Gundam* novel (mentioned only), the *The Origin* manga, *The Plot to Assassinate Gihren* manga (Volume 3, Chapter 20), and the *Blue-Eyed Casval* OVA.
