Crowley Hamon stands as Ramba Ral's common-law wife. Though not a formal soldier, she possesses significant insight and commands strong admiration from Ral's subordinates. Her influence extends beyond the military, notably affecting Amuro Ray, who develops an attraction to her alongside other mature figures like Matilda Ajan.

Accompanying Ramba Ral's team, Hamon descends to Earth aboard a Zanzibar-class vessel. During a stop at the desert settlement of Sodom, she encounters Amuro Ray fleeing the White Base. Amidst war's tensions, she displays kindness and offers him a meal.

Ramba Ral's death triggers a profound shift in Hamon. Consumed by anger and grief, she initiates a retaliatory assault using the Gallop-class ship. The attack ends destructively; the vessel is heavily damaged by the RX-78-2 Gundam, though Hamon survives by ejecting the bridge section. Reinforced by Lieutenant Tachi and assuming command of Ral's surviving forces, she orchestrates a suicide mission against the White Base, ramming the Gallop's cargo unit into the vessel.

During the collision attempt, Hamon operates the hovering top turret of a Magella Attack Tank, positioning herself to destroy the Gundam as Amuro tries to halt the cargo unit. Her efforts are interrupted when the critically wounded Ryu Jose crashes an FF-X7 Core Fighter into the Magella Top turret, resulting in mutual fatalities.
