He possesses the unique ability to project his mind across time, appearing to Evan during pivotal moments as a "Curious Boy" offering guidance under the alias "Dina".

These interactions culminate in Ferdinand revealing to Evan that their communications were not glimpses of the past but premonitions of the future, facilitated by the seer Boddly disguised as a librarian. This temporal link allows Ferdinand to witness and subtly influence Evan's efforts to unite the nations through the Declaration of Interdependence, which later inspires Ferdinand's Japanese name, "Burahaban".

During the Tale of the Timeless Tome, adversaries trap Ferdinand's mind in Memory Lane, triggering a crisis of confidence in his future kingship. This manifests as nightmares birthing "Codswallop the Confident", a manifestation of his self-doubt. Overcoming this confinement restores Ferdinand's determination to embrace his royal destiny, and he expresses aspirations to create his own Higgledy.

Years after Evan's reign, Ferdinand ascends as King of Evermore. He achieves near-complete global unification under one banner, fulfilling his father's vision. His sole remaining obstacle is opposition from Broadleaf, which resists his peaceful unification efforts, positioning him as the successor advancing Evan's dream of worldwide harmony.
