Description
Iku Kannazuki is the male idol representing the month of October within the Tsukiuta franchise. He is a member of the Procellarum unit under Tsukino Talent Production. Standing at 165 centimeters tall, Iku has fair skin, short brown hair, and brown eyes. His birthday is October 21.
Iku was born in Hyogo Prefecture into a typical family with parents and an older sister. Their close resemblance led to them occasionally being mistaken for twins during high school. Athletics have always played a central role in his life. He earned acceptance into both high school and university primarily through sports recommendations, demonstrating exceptional talent in sprinting, particularly the 200 meter and 400 meter events, as well as skill in soccer. He was discovered by a talent scout during a national athletic meet in Tokyo.
Personality wise, Iku is lively, energetic, and forward looking. He prefers constant motion over inactivity and carries a naturally masculine aura. Having had a normal upbringing, he often serves as a voice of reason within Procellarum alongside Haduki You, frequently responding to the other members quirks with retorts grounded in everyday sensibility. Although generally confident, he initially felt self conscious about wearing flashy idol outfits and vowed to mature into someone who could carry them with style. He harbors aspirations to develop a dependable, well built physique similar to senior members like Fuduki Kai and Yayoi Haru. Academically, he struggles with memorization and finds subjects like physics and mathematics challenging, attributing this to his physical strengths.
Iku shares a dormitory with his fellow Procellarum members, assisting Fuduki Kai in waking Minaduki Rui each morning, though he himself is susceptible to the temptation of returning to sleep. His bond with Rui evolved considerably over time. While initial attempts at closeness were difficult, they eventually became close friends. It was Rui who adopted the nickname Ikkun for him, a name suggested by Haduki You for ease of pronunciation. This nickname is subsequently used by others like Nagatsuki Yoru and Shimotsuki Shun. He shares a childhood connection with Nagatsuki Yoru and Haduki You, and he respects Minaduki Rei, Ruis older brother, referring to him as Rei san.
In the story, Iku works diligently to balance his career as an idol with his commitments as a member of his high schools track and field club. He was once selected as the representative athlete for a track and field meet he had always aimed to participate in, an achievement his unit members warmly support.
A notable episode in his personal history involves the Tsukino Empire movie. A late night viewing prompted by hunger led him to reminisce and cook instant noodles, joined by You and Yoru, highlighting his off duty persona and connection to simple recipes. An endearing personal memory from his childhood is the distress he felt upon learning that Santa Claus was not real, which caused him to cry in class. He retains a strong attachment to a panda plush named Sasakuma Ichigou, acquired during a 2016 photoshoot, which became a dormitory pet. His family also owns a friendly male Shiba Inu crossbreed named Gon.
Iku possesses several notable abilities. His athletic prowess is his most defining trait, being skilled at all kinds of sports while focusing on sprinting and soccer. His eyesight is notably sharp at 1.5 in both eyes. While music is not his primary focus, he can play the piano minimally, knowing only how to perform the Flea Waltz. Regarding other skills, he mentioned that he isnt good at memorizing things. His official fanclub is named athletic, a word derived from Latin roots meaning strong of body, vigorous, and robust. He received offers to model for snack and sports drink commercials, aligning with his athletic image. His culinary preferences lean towards meat dishes and 100 percent juice, and he enjoys early morning air and fluffy futons that have been well aired.
