Description
Garuouga is the second-in-command of the antagonistic Notraiders, who seek universal control. His design evokes a Japanese oni, featuring blue skin, dark grey horns, sharp nails, and a yellow diamond mark on his forehead. He wears a navy blue cape with purple shoulder pauldrons, a black X-shaped chest strap, a white belt, a gold bracelet with green diamonds on his left wrist, lavender pants, and dark grey boots, reflecting his formidable role.

Originally from an unnamed planet, Garuouga lived peacefully until a meteorite destroyed his homeworld. As the sole survivor, he joined the Notraiders after their leader, Darknest, promised power in exchange for loyalty. This fuels his pessimistic belief that protecting others does not strengthen a person and that the Pretty Cure's actions are mere favoritism. He is strategically minded, ruthless, violent, and extremely vain about his physical prowess. Garuouga never questions Darknest's commands and persists relentlessly in confrontations.

He first appears in Episode 4 directing subordinates to retrieve Star Princess Pens. He primarily operates from the Notraiders' headquarters initially, engaging directly only in Episode 31. During this battle, he displays overwhelming strength, defeating the Pretty Cure single-handedly, but reveals a critical weakness: he cannot breathe in outer space, implied to be mitigated solely by his bracelet. Seeking revenge, he pursues the Cures to Earth in Episode 32, reiterating his tragic past and conviction that seizing power demands sacrificing everything, including oneself.

Darknest enhances Garuouga's abilities in Episode 41, making him even more powerful. He specifically targets Cure Selene, attempting to break her resolve by dismissing her protective instincts as naive, contrasting her determination with his own choice to surrender everything to Darknest for power. Despite this, Selene unlocks her "Twinkle Imagination" ability and overpowers him.

A pivotal shift occurs in Episode 46. Darknest grants Garuouga and other generals a surge of "twisted imagination" to increase their threat. However, she later reveals herself as the Ophiuchus Star Princess and admits she destroyed Garuouga's home planet. This betrayal shatters his loyalty. When Darknest attempts to eliminate him and the other generals, the Pretty Cure intervene and save their lives.

Following this rescue in Episode 47, Garuouga softens toward the Cures. Expressing gratitude, he allies with them, the Starry Sky Association, and former Notraider Aiwarn to fight Ophiuchus. After the universe is saved in Episode 48, Ophiuchus offers him a bracelet, implying he could seek revenge. However, moved by the Cures' selfless dedication to protecting Fuwa, he instead uses the bracelet's remaining power to help aliens Lala and Yuni return to their home planets.

The epilogue (Episode 49) reveals that fifteen years later, Garuouga and the remaining former Notraiders have converted their headquarters into a thriving botanical garden.

Garuouga possesses several abilities: creating portals for planetary teleportation, redirecting energy attacks, firing green energy balls of varying sizes, and demonstrating exceptional physical strength and endurance, allowing him to withstand powerful attacks like the Rainbow Splash and Southern Cross Shot with minimal effort. His reliance on the bracelet for space survival and his vanity about his combat prowess remain consistent vulnerabilities.
