Description
Chourou is an elderly fairy living on Ichigo Mountain within the KiraKira☆Pretty Cure A La Mode series. He crafts sweets alongside apprentices to spread joy. After a cream explosion accident, he gained a ghostly form featuring purple arms, shirt, and tail, with a white beard obscuring most of his face. He typically carries a yellow umbrella. Upon later regaining a physical form, stubby legs became visible. In human form, he appears as a tall older man with white puffy hair, a mustache, brownish-orange eyes, a purple suit, a dark orange ascot, white gloves, and signature headgear.
Despite his advanced age, Chourou remains active and shows deep care for his apprentices, especially Pekorin. Their relationship highlights mentorship and mutual respect. He ends sentences with "~jaba."
His ghostly form allows him to float and pass through solid substances like walls. He can also transform into a human. Chourou plays a pivotal role, guiding the KiraKira☆Pretty Cure A La Mode team. He explains the legend of the patisserie Pretty Cure and requests protection for sweets against those stealing Kirakiraru. During Noir's threat, he participates in a fairy council meeting to strategize. In the series finale, absorbing excessive Kirakiraru causes gigantic growth and rampage, resolved by the Cures restoring his original form. Post-battle, he opens a sweets shop with Pekorin.
Within the *Pretty Cure Miracle Universe* film, Chourou appears during the Miracle Light scene. Notably, his ghostly form remains bound to the KIRAKIRA Patisserie in this cinematic appearance, despite regaining a physical body in the television series. He encourages Piton to summon additional Pretty Cures using the Miracle Light to combat encroaching darkness. He comforts Hugtan and Pekorin while distributing fruit to distressed bird-like citizens. Later, alongside these companions, he is captured by space police troops investigating the universe's darkening. His background across media confirms consistent abilities and relationships, maintaining the ghostly form and connection to the KIRAKIRA Patisserie during crossover film events.
