Tsutsuji hails from Onigashima, a place steeped in traditional oni folklore where persistent stereotypes dictate oni attire, particularly tiger stripes. Sent on a mission to reshape human views of oni, she transfers to a Tokyo middle school in the Ohasuta district alongside two other oni girls. Her role is that of a cultural ambassador, bridging the gap between oni and humans through community interaction.
