Description
Kagura Sohma, cursed by the Chinese Zodiac’s Boar spirit, transforms into her animal form when embraced by the opposite sex or overwhelmed by stress. Petite and fair-skinned, she sports brown eyes and braided brown hair adorned with ribbons, often dressed in feminine skirts or dresses and carrying her signature orange cat-themed backpack. Her demeanor blends sugary politeness with sudden, explosive violence—primarily directed at Kyo Sohma, the Zodiac’s ostracized Cat—fueled by emotional immaturity that warps intense feelings into physical aggression.

As a child, Kagura pitied Kyo for his harsher curse and impulsively "proposed" by threatening him with a knife, sparking a lifelong fixation. When she accidentally triggered his monstrous true form by removing his Juzu beads, her horrified retreat compounded his isolation. To absolve her guilt, she convinced herself that loving Kyo would erase her past cruelty and transform her into a "beautiful" person, persisting for years in a cycle of forced affection and violent outbursts.

Her rivalry with Tohru Honda softens into friendship as Tohru’s empathy guides Kagura to confront her selfish motivations. After Kyo rejects her, she accepts that her "love" stemmed from self-serving pity, not genuine care, and supports his bond with Tohru. This maturity mellows her volatility into introspection. Kagura resides with her accepting parents and maintains ties to distant cousin Isuzu Sohma and friend Ritsu Sohma. Post-curse, she marries an unnamed man and raises a son in *Fruits Basket Another*, reflecting the former Zodiac members’ healed lives.
