Description
Yuko Saginomiya, also known as Yuuko Washinomiya, is a 25-year-old elementary school teacher with black hair and black eyes. She acts as the legal guardian for Ran, an 11-year-old girl who was once the Demon King in another world before reincarnating here. Fully aware of Ran's true identity, Yuko nevertheless treats her like any other child in her care. She approaches Ran's upbringing with practicality and responsibility, insisting on age-appropriate behavior. For example, she forbids Ran from wandering alone at night, citing Ran's status as an elementary student and her own duty as guardian. She only permitted Ran to attend the Bon Festival because Arnelia and others accompanied her.

Yuko questions the need for Ran's direct involvement in collecting the scattered fragments of the Demon King's power, concerned about the burden placed on the girl. While believing that if *she* were the Demon King she would prioritize personal desires, she advises Ran to embrace her current chance to experience childhood and enjoy ordinary activities. Yuko holds no fear of Ran despite her origins. She openly acknowledges relying on Ran for household management since the girl moved in, stating she wouldn't know what to do without Ran's help. However, she instructs Ran to keep this arrangement confidential to avoid potential accusations of exploitation.

Beyond her guardian role, Yuko temporarily safeguards the immense magical power Ran lost during reincarnation, a consequence of the incident where that power fragmented and scattered. This responsibility brings her into proximity with the group of reincarnated heroes residing in Kyoto, though her primary focus remains firmly on Ran's well-being and integration into normal daily life, not their quest.
