Description
Kumi Honamanuma, an aspiring artist, moves to Kyoto intending to take over her late grandmother’s dagashi store, only to find it inhabited by three self-proclaimed reincarnated heroes—Harami Mino, K Kusanagi, Mai Haisaka—and Arnelia, a knight-turned-dog. The group insists they’ve been sent to track fragments of a former demon king’s power, forcing Kumi to adapt her plans and share the space with their chaotic mission.

Her artistic ambitions intertwine with quiet insecurity over her grandmother’s legacy, particularly her own perceived shortcomings in painting. Scattered scenes depict her lingering before half-finished artworks, hinting at unresolved creative struggles.

Amid the group’s supernatural pursuits, Kumi becomes a stabilizing presence, tempering clashes between the wary Arnelia and Ran, the demon king reborn as a harmless child. She consistently champions compassion over suspicion, urging trust in Ran’s redemption while balancing the store’s daily rhythms against the heroes’ otherworldly chaos. Her story remains rooted in bridging the mundane realities of inheritance and art with the absurdity of sharing a home with interdimensional warriors.
