Description
Mika, an African-Japanese man with deep brown skin, sports long curly black hair partially braided at the back and a neatly trimmed beard. His black-framed glasses and habitual use of forearm crutches—a deliberate guise masking his true physical capabilities—accentuate a calm, approachable presence. This demeanor belies formidable combat expertise forged during his tenure as a high-ranking instructor and commander in the covert organization Direct Attack (DA).

A decade after a catastrophic radio tower incident prompted his departure from DA, Mika now manages Café LycoReco, a tranquil blend of Japanese and Western aesthetics. While overseeing the café’s daily operations, he maintains clandestine ties to DA, offering strategic guidance during missions. Entrusted with Chisato Nishikigi’s care post her artificial heart surgery, he evolved from a mentor tasked with molding her into a weapon to a father figure championing her pacifist ideals. His past intertwines with Shinji Yoshimatsu of the Alan Institute, a former partner in both professional endeavors and their shared objective to hone Chisato into a lethal force.

Yoshimatsu’s resurgence forces Mika into a moral reckoning as the former challenges Chisato’s refusal to kill. This clash culminates in Mika fatally confronting Yoshimatsu to shield her, followed by the destruction of Yoshimatsu’s final message and covertly securing Chisato’s life-saving surgery—actions he conceals to preserve her resolve. Torn between allegiance to his covert past and devotion to Chisato’s ethos, Mika navigates this duality through strategic crisis management and unspoken protection.

Though combat-proficient and tactically astute, he prioritizes non-violent resolutions honoring Chisato’s principles. Officially documented roles frame him as both Café LycoReco’s steward—a sanctuary for its staff—and a strategist balancing moral complexities, his history as an operative shadowing his commitment to cultivating peace.
