Description
Komoe Tsukuyomi is the homeroom teacher for Year 1 Class 7 at a certain high school in Academy City. Her appearance resembles a 12-year-old child; she stands 135 cm tall with pink hair and eyes, yet she is an adult in her mid-to-late 40s. This paradox makes her one of Academy City's "seven wonders," with unconfirmed urban legends suggesting her condition results from experiments involving slowed cellular aging or the Imaginary Number District.

Her personality contrasts her youthful exterior. She exhibits childish mannerisms and speech, but her apartment contains beer cans, cigarette litter, and neuropsychology books. She is a heavy smoker, consuming five times more cigarettes than her colleague Aiho Yomikawa, and drives a custom vehicle modified with buttons and a joystick to accommodate her stature. She dislikes references to her size but appreciates being called "cute." Stiyl Magnus notes her resemblance to Index in temperament: naïve, empathetic, and possessing magical knowledge without practical ability. Despite her own smoking, she chastises underage characters like Stiyl for the habit.

As an educator, she demonstrates deep commitment and expertise in chemistry, pyrokinesis, and esper development principles like the Power Curriculum Program and Personal Reality. She avoids prying into students' personal struggles unless they seek guidance. Her "soul as an educator" drives her to shelter displaced individuals, including Himegami Aisa, Musujime Awaki, Index, and Kamijou Touma. Freeloaders often cook for her, making her "feel like royalty." She becomes despondent over missed teaching opportunities, exemplified by tearing up when Touma ignores her lesson, and employs unconventional methods like blindfolded poker as academic incentives.

Her abilities include perfect internal clock control and magical aptitude despite lacking esper powers. Index taught her a healing ritual, which she performed during the Index Arc with Stiyl’s assistance to heal Aisa. She later recreated this ritual during the Daihasei Festival Arc after Oriana Thomson injured Aisa. In extended lore (WPSA stories), she commanded the SIGRUN Corps against HADES 18 years earlier, showcasing tactical genius, computer hacking (breaching the "unbreakable" Zero Dawn Alpha Registry), and engineering skills to construct blast doors using schematics from another universe.

Her chronological involvement spans multiple arcs. She first aided Touma and Index by sheltering them and performing the healing ritual. During the Sisters Arc, she explained the Power Curriculum Program to Aisa and Index. In the Daihasei Festival, she coordinated cheerleading efforts and intervened to heal Aisa alongside Stiyl. She later reported Touma’s absences to his parents and encountered Accelerator and Last Order, who speculated about her age. Her background remains largely undefined beyond university graduation and arrival in Academy City. She recalls Touma as a "naughty boy" during his enrollment and harbors conflicted feelings toward him, initially stating she "likes him" before clarifying she enjoys teaching him.
