Description
Robota is a faceless hacker navigating the criminal underworld, perpetually concealed beneath an antiquated robot helmet adorned with a lamp that shifts color to mirror his emotions. His true visage remains absent from mainstream media, glimpsed solely in ancillary releases like a special art book.

Declaring himself the world’s greatest hacker, he craves acclaim for his skills yet languishes in the shadow of Walnut, a superior rival affiliated with Lycoris Recoil café. Driven by envy, he obsessively schemes to usurp Walnut as Japan’s top hacker, aligning with Shinji Yoshimatsu of the Alan Institute. Repeated defeats at the hands of Chisato Nishikigi and allies fail to dent his unshakeable self-assurance.

Following early failures, he courts Majima, a terrorist leader, proposing cybernetic aid for assaults on the Lycoris organization. His abrasive persistence nearly costs him his life when Majima’s patience snaps. He secures tentative cooperation by exploiting police backdoors to fabricate bomb threats and hijack broadcasts, briefly bolstering Majima’s operations. Each maneuver falters against Walnut’s expertise.

His downfall arrives during a city-wide broadcast attempt for Majima: Walnut breaches his network, unmasks his location, and ensures his arrest. Functioning as a secondary antagonist, he acts as a pawn for pivotal figures like Yoshimatsu and Majima. His origins and broader role remain unexplored, devoid of evolution or redemption across seasons, films, or spin-offs.

Personality blends petulant arrogance with rivalry-fueled jealousy, marked by brash proclamations and seething resentment when outmatched. He inflates his competence, recasting defeats as victories to preserve his ego. Interactions with Walnut betray grudging admiration, while his dynamic with Majima hinges on transactional pragmatism, devoid of mutual trust.
