Description
Reona Nyubara, known as PAREO, is a third-year student at Kamogawa Chuuou Middle School and keyboardist for RAISE A SUILEN. Her family operates the dried fish shop "Himono no Nyubara" in Kamogawa City, Chiba. Growing up under intense parental pressure to excel academically and athletically, she concealed her true interests in cute things and idols. This resulted in loneliness and depression despite her outward success as a popular honor student, class president, and vice president of the handicraft club.

A turning point came when Pastel*Palettes' television debut deeply moved her. Inspired, she anonymously uploaded keyboard covers of their songs online. One video attracted Chiyu Tamade (later CHU²), who invited her to an audition. CHU² criticized Reona's restrained, honor-student demeanor but recognized her potential, recruiting her for RAISE A SUILEN. CHU² assigned the stage name PAREO—combining "Reo" with swimsuit cover-ups—to symbolize her transformation from suppression.

As PAREO, she adopts a distinct persona: speaking in third person with polite verb endings while exhibiting energetic, openly affectionate behavior. This contrasts with her school identity, where she uses formal speech ("watashi") and maintains a reserved, serious demeanor. Her performance look features monochrome-striped pigtails (via wigs or dye), color contacts, a purple "Fortissimo" T-shirt, a pink skirt, 6-cm platform shoes, and space-themed stockings. She designs costumes and handles band makeup using a digital tape measure.

Reona expresses intense devotion to CHU², crediting her with "pulling her out of darkness." She uses honorifics like "CHU²-sama" or "Goshujinsama" (Mistress), openly admires her, and clings physically. She once confessed her love to CHU², vowing never to conceal emotions again, and composed "Beautiful Birthday" as a gift. Her loyalty includes mediating band tensions and gently teasing CHU² to diffuse intensity.

She remains a dedicated Pastel*Palettes fan, maintaining a merchandise-filled room and running the popular fan account "REOREO." Her fandom influences her "yume kawaii" style and hair colors, often mirroring the group’s palette. She addresses Pastel*Palettes members respectfully (e.g., "Aya-chan," "Chisato-san") and becomes nervous around them, though she later befriends some, facilitating a meeting between Maya and bandmate Masuki.

After CHU² belittled her, Reona temporarily quit RAISE A SUILEN and reverted solely to her school identity. Bandmates Masuki and Rokka located her in Chiba, and CHU² arrived to apologize sincerely. Reona accepted, solidifying her dual identity integration. She commutes three hours daily between Kamogawa and Tokyo for band activities.

Her hobbies include idol fandom. She likes cabbage and dislikes coriander and raw onions. Originally trained on Electone, she switched to keyboard for the band.
