Description
Pavo Mayura is the Silver Saint of the Pavo constellation and stands as one of Sanctuary's most powerful warriors, wielding formidable psionic powers that include telekinesis, teleportation, and telepathy.
Thirteen years before the main story, Mayura was gravely wounded by Capricorn Shura during a Sanctuary revolt. The attack left the saint permanently confined to a wheelchair and heavily bandaged. Mayura’s survival is credited to the intervention of Crateris Aisone.
Now residing in a secluded temple attended by two disciples, Mirai and Cinato, Mayura initially refuses to train Equuleus Shōko upon sensing the corrupting influence of the goddess Eris upon her. This rejection escalates into a confrontation where Mayura blasts Shōko away with telekinesis and imprisons her in a stasis field. Mayura relents only after Shōko purges Eris's darkness and shatters the psychic prison through her own awakened Cosmo.
Mayura repeatedly provides guidance and aid to the Saintias, at one point teleporting Shōko directly to a battlefield upon sensing Athena, Saori Kido, was in danger. Mayura also intervenes to subdue the corrupted Northern Crown Katya, taking her away for retraining.
The conflict culminates in a direct battle against the fully awakened Eris. Overmatched by the goddess, Mayura executes a last-resort teleportation into another dimension to avoid annihilation. Even while adrift in the void of this alternate dimension, Mayura’s psychic power remains strong enough to reach out telepathically and teach the Saintias to synergize their individual Cosmos into a single, unified force—a crucial act that enables their victory.
Mayura’s signature technique is the Brilliant Wings Heaven Dance, a manifestation of vast psychic energy that takes the form of a massive, glowing peacock that unleashes a devastating blast of light.
The saint’s history includes an encounter with Scorpio Milo five years prior to the primary story and the earlier rescue of both Shōko and her sister Kyoko when they were children.
