Description
Rokka Asahi, known as LOCK, attends Haneoka Girls' Academy Class 2-A. Originally from Gifu Prefecture, she moved to Tokyo inspired by Poppin'Party's performance at SPACE live house, determined to form a band. She lives and works part-time at her relatives' Asahi Bathhouse while also assisting at Galaxy live house. Initially opposed by her family, she secured a scholarship, promised diligent study, and learned household chores with her mother to gain their permission.
She has slate blue hair usually tied in a low ponytail with a star-patterned scrunchie and wears thick black glasses daily. During live performances, she removes both glasses and scrunchie, letting her hair loose—a practice started after nerves caused an early stage mistake. Standing 155 cm tall, her casual style features a frilly floral-print dress, loose green socks, brown Mary Jane shoes, and a necklace with her house key.
Earnest yet socially hesitant, she stutters and makes distressed sounds like "hiiii," reverting to her Gifu dialect when nervous or excited. Resilient despite past perceived failures, especially in academics, she practices guitar diligently. She idolizes Poppin'Party, often humming their songs while working, and develops a friendly rivalry with fellow fan Mashiro Kurata over their admiration.
Her musical journey started in middle school forming the band TRICK with friends; they disbanded when she left for Tokyo after performing a farewell song. In Tokyo, shyness and full band rosters initially prevented her joining a group. Her breakthrough came at the Haneoka-Flowersawa joint school festival, where a guitar solo impressed attendees, earned an encore, and caught CHU2's attention, leading to her recruitment as guitarist for RAISE A SUILEN.
Within RAISE A SUILEN, she uses the stage name LOCK—a play on "Rokka" and a nod to her key necklace. Her band role fosters a close bond with drummer Masuki Satou, whom she views as an older sister, seeking her help during conflicts or riding her scooter to resolve issues. She maintains friendships with her middle school bandmates and Haneoka classmates like Asuka Toyama, often attending live shows or spending time together.
Her hobbies include guitar practice and listening to enka or rakugo. She favors sweet bean paste and roasted sweet potatoes, dislikes eating ramen in shops due to feeling rushed, and meticulously tracks expenses in a notebook.
Her development involves growing confidence as a performer and band member, navigating her admiration for Poppin'Party while forging her own path with RAISE A SUILEN. She continues balancing part-time work, studies, and band commitments, regularly contacting her family in Gifu.
