Description
Goh's Cinderace is a Fire-type First Partner Pokémon originally encountered as a Scorbunny in Wyndon. It first made its home in the city's alleys, where it led a group of Nickit and taught them to steal food for survival, covering itself in dirt to better blend into its surroundings. Its initial meeting with Goh happened after the Nickit stole food; Goh defended it by falsely claiming ownership. Moved by Goh’s words about exploring the world, the Nickit encouraged it to seek a new life, prompting it to board a train and eventually find Goh in the Wild Area.

After helping Goh and Ash redirect a Gigantamax Snorlax to prevent a train accident, Goh decided to capture it as his first Pokémon. The Scorbunny showed its determination by hitting the thrown Poké Ball itself to complete the capture.

As a Scorbunny, it displayed an enthusiastic, showboating, and mischievous character. It craved attention and disliked being ignored, often reacting by kicking people, particularly Ash. Energetic and restless, it enjoyed kicking pebbles like footballs. Despite its mischief, it showed a caring side, providing food for its Nickit friends and later for other Pokémon.

A key moment in its growth was its powerful desire to master a Fire-type move, which created conflict with Goh, who believed its current moves were enough. During a battle with Team Rocket, its repeated failures to use Ember caused tension. After running away to train alone, Goh came to understand its determination and helped it succeed by channeling heat through its feet into a kicked pebble, triggering its evolution into Raboot.

After evolving, its personality shifted to serious, aloof, and emotionally distant from Goh. It preferred solitude, often leaning against walls and hiding its feelings, though it secretly remained invested in activities and cared deeply for Goh. This distance stemmed from hurt over Goh's earlier disregard for its wish to learn a Fire-type move. Their relationship later healed during events in Hoenn, where Raboot was found secretly teaching dance to local Pokémon. When Goh mistakenly thought it would be happier staying there, Raboot followed him onto the train, leading to reconciliation and mutual understanding.

Raboot displayed protective instincts, especially toward Goh’s Sobble, acting as an older sibling by calming it when it cried and letting it sit on its shoulder. It maintained a friendship with Ash’s Pikachu, though it became less openly playful after evolution. It grew interested in Pokémon battles, intently watching Ash’s matches, and formed a friendship with Ash’s Riolu that continued after both evolved into Lucario and Cinderace.

It learned several moves over time: Double Kick and Quick Attack as a Scorbunny, Ember upon evolution, and later Blaze Kick during a Raid Battle against Zapdos. It also used Max Flare and Max Knuckle after Gobtained a Dynamax Band.

It evolved into Cinderace during a battle against Oleana’s Milotic in Galar, learning Pyro Ball upon evolution. It played a key role in later events, including the battle against Eternatus in the Darkest Day incident.

As a Cinderace, its personality returned to a more carefree and energetic state, reminiscent of its Scorbunny days. It resumed celebrating victories with Goh using a signature high-five with its foot and regained an outwardly cheerful demeanor, even playfully engaging with other Pokémon like Ash’s Lucario.

In a later episode, it returned to Wyndon and reunited with the Nickit, which had evolved into Thievul and reformed their ways. Together, they worked to defend the town from a group of troublesome Galarian Meowth and a Perrserker.
