Itak, Prince of the small vassal state Nakoku bordering Shyahoro, wears distinctive blue and white attire marked by Nakoku's emblem on his sash ornament and shoulder half-cape. His personality reflects seriousness, sincerity, and trustworthiness, though confrontations with his mortal enemy Maroro provoke rash decisions. The Yamatan Civil War forces Itak into exile following invasion by Maroro's capital faction. Seeking refuge, he solicits aid from his uncle Soyankekur and Oshtor's Ennakamuy faction to reclaim Nakoku. During this exile, he discovers his arranged engagement to his cousin Atuy, negotiated previously by their mothers.
Returning with Oshtor's forces, Itak contributes to strategic planning while persistently expressing concern for Atuy's battlefield safety, concerns she routinely dismisses. He narrowly survives an assault by Mikazuchi's elite troops when they retreat at sunrise. Later, accompanying Oshtor's infiltration unit during the assault on Nakoku's capital, Itak confronts Maroro directly. His overwhelming desire for vengeance requires physical restraint from allies. Though Atuy's intervention and reinforcements avert Maroro's trap, the destruction of the Great Bridge—a personal gift from the Mikado to Nakoku—plunges Itak into despair. Oshtor's counsel shifts his focus to his victorious people, compelling him to vow rebuilding his nation.
Post-civil war, his military service earns him a position among the Eight Pillar Generals. Observers note him conversing happily with Entua, hinting at potential future romance. His relationship with Atuy evolves from an arranged engagement into mutual affection, yet he ultimately steps aside upon recognizing her feelings for Haku.
In the mobile game Lost Flag, Itak appears as a Marebito, fulfilling a minor supporting role. He is Soyankekur's nephew via his mother (Soyankekur's younger sister) and Atuy's cousin.
