TV-Series
Description
Takashi Andou, known as "King," leads the G Boys, a youth gang in Ikebukuro dedicated to maintaining local peace and protecting its members. His appearance differs: the anime shows him with blonde hair, blue eyes, a gray suit, and black shoes, while the live-action drama portrays messy dyed-blonde hair, a white singlet, baggy jeans, a gold marijuana-symbol necklace, and sometimes a checkered jacket with a G Boys yellow bandana.

King displays a playful, goofy attitude towards gang members and associates, yet beneath this lies a ruthless and pragmatic leadership style. As the G Boys' undisputed ruler, he enforces strict policies, including a ban on gang drug use or sales. He commands multiple faction leaders, like Hiroto Ikeuchi, consolidating their efforts under his authority. His confidence and physical strength earn him admiration, particularly from women in the community.

His history includes being an old schoolmate of Makoto Majima, whom he frequently aids in resolving underworld conflicts, always demanding favors in return. This makes King a key ally in Makoto's investigations, such as hunting a serial rapist and murderer after Makoto's friend Rika becomes a victim. He demonstrates strategic cunning in confrontations, like exploiting a distraction to defeat rival Yamai during a staged fight.

When the rival Red Angels gang, led by Kyoichi Ozaki, emerges, King initially tolerates them. He intervenes after discovering their collaboration with OK Holdings, a corporation exploiting workers including over 20 G Boys members. Uncovering OK Holdings' plot to incite gang warfare, King brokers an alliance with the Red Angels to dismantle the corporation. Post-conflict, the gangs divide Ikebukuro territorially, with the G Boys controlling the west.

His leadership faces further tests, including escalating tensions with the Red Angels that culminate in Mitsuki Fujimoto shooting him. He survives this assassination attempt. Throughout these events, his relationship with Makoto remains complex; he repeatedly pressures Makoto to join the G Boys yet continues supporting him despite refusals.
