TV-Series
Description
Makoto Majima, a young man residing in Ikebukuro, possesses a charismatic and approachable nature. His appearance features brown-to-black medium-length hair and earrings in both ears, often complemented by distinctive clothing: a black "smoking kills" hoodie or a green t-shirt under a maroon jacket bearing a bunny logo on the back. His daily life is shaped by his responsibilities at his mother's local fruit shop, where he assists in the single-parent household that raised him.

Makoto maintains significant ties to Ikebukuro's underground through his childhood friendship with Takashi Ando, leader of the G Boys gang. Though choosing not to join formally, he remains a reliable ally to the gang and others, utilizing his strong combat abilities while consistently prioritizing non-violent conflict resolution. His intelligence and problem-solving skills make him a frequent contact for those facing difficult situations.

A defining trauma stems from the murder of his girlfriend, Rika Nakamura, an event that plunged him into profound despair and suicidal thoughts, while also fueling a vengeful streak. Despite this, his core inclination leans toward helping others. This is demonstrated in the "Denshi no Hoshi" storyline, where he intervenes against punks impersonating him and assaulting a boy named Teru. Reluctantly at first, Makoto agrees to help Teru find his missing friend, Kiichirou Asanuma. Their investigation leads to Kiichirou's apartment, where a discovered video reveals Kiichirou's entanglement with dangerous individuals due to financial desperation, compelling Makoto to commit to finding him and showcasing his protective instincts and growing responsibility.

Through these experiences, Makoto evolves from grappling with personal tragedy into a proactive figure. He leverages his connections and resourcefulness to address injustices within his community. His background, including his complex relationship with the G Boys and his response to Rika's death, forms the foundation of his role as Ikebukuro's unofficial troubleshooter.
