Description
Pankraz Gotha, known as Teudis in Spanish localizations, rules as king of Gotha. He married Mada, a prelate from a society of powerful magicians, against their wishes, bringing her to Gotha as queen. After Mada vanishes following their son Luca's birth, Pankraz embarks on a journey with Luca, initially stating they seek "something" while secretly searching for her.

His rugged traveler appearance features frizzy hair, a fang necklace, a leather kilt, and a partial breastplate revealing a muscular torso. Fiercely protective and righteous, he prioritizes Luca's safety, healing every minor injury during their travels. Though stern, his dedication as a father defines him.

Key journey events include visiting Whealbrook to meet his lifelong servant Sancho. There, Pankraz catches a cold, enabling Luca and Bianca to explore a haunted manor. Later, he and Luca pursue kidnapped Prince Harry. During the rescue, Bishop Ladja kills Pankraz as he shields his unconscious son. With his dying breath, he instructs Luca to find the Legendary Hero and Zenithian Equipment to save Mada. His death leads to Luca and Harry's decade-long enslavement.

Pankraz's legacy confirms him as Gotha's rightful king, making Luca heir. The Legendary Hero he referenced is later revealed as his future grandson. In the afterlife, he reunites with Mada, expressing pride in their son and grandchildren. Combat-wise, he wields high physical strength, frequent critical hits, healing magic, and a unique ability to act twice per round occasionally. Beyond the film and originating game narrative, no other media expands his character.
