Mukuge is a junior in the Akane Class and a dedicated member of the Rabbit Squad alongside Kagetsu and Hototogisu. She possesses black hair typically tied back and olive eyes, standing 142 cm tall. Her core responsibility involves musical performance, specializing in the small taiko drum during the squad's concerts for village audiences. Mukuge deeply admires Kagetsu's singing and humming. While she occasionally practices martial arts, her primary focus remains drumming. She harbors a strong aversion to centipedes.

At times, Mukuge feels overshadowed by Kagetsu's vocal talent and Hototogisu's physical grace, prompting her to experiment with makeup. This resulted in face paint resembling tribal markings. Though not conventionally prettier, it conveyed a distinctive aura that directly inspired Kagetsu to compose a new song. Mukuge demonstrates fierce loyalty to her squadmates, sometimes disregarding rules for their sake. During a storm threatening an upcoming concert, she and Hototogisu defied orders to check the stage's safety, intending sabotage to buy Kagetsu more songwriting time. Their plan halted when Kagetsu arrived, and a falling tree nearly struck them before teacher Hana intervened. The destroyed stage led to an improvised performance on the tree trunk, where Kagetsu debuted the storm-inspired song.

Mukuge maintains a close bond with her Rabbit Squad teammates, consistently supporting their musical efforts and sharing their collective duties. Her character centers on devotion to the squad's performances and her evolving self-perception within the group.
