TV Special
Description
Yusuke Aoi is an idol available to produce at 315 Productions. A former professional soccer player, he formed the idol unit W with his twin brother, Kyosuke Aoi.
As the older twin, Yusuke possesses an energetic and playful nature, often acting before he thinks. His intuitive genius is sometimes undermined by a tendency to overlook details and a difficulty with studying, leading him to rely on Kyosuke's responsible demeanor. He consistently insists he is fine to avoid having others worry about him. His inherent positivity and cheerfulness make him naturally sociable. Both brothers refer to their Producer as "coach" and their fans as "supporters." Yusuke enjoys eating and frequenting convenience stores with Kyosuke, but he is not good with scary things like ghosts and horror.
From a young age, the twins aimed to become the ultimate soccer players, a goal they achieved as talented professionals. Yusuke's career ended when he badly injured his knee attempting a risky move during a game. While recovering in the hospital, he met 315 Production's Producer, who was hospitalized with appendicitis. The Producer scouted him, encouraging Yusuke to audition to become an idol. Yusuke then asked Kyosuke to join him so they could continue working as the ultimate team together.
Yusuke joins a team with Kyosuke and other idols. Though afraid of ghosts, he is friendly with Casper and good Yokai. He was helped by Kitaro when Kyosuke was elsewhere, making Kyosuke happy with the assistance. He is an enemy of Nurarihyon, evil ghosts, evil spirits, and evil Yokai. He and Kyosuke are the mortal enemies of the Scoleri brothers, whose nature is the opposite of theirs. Despite his fear, Yusuke faces Tony alongside Kyosuke, who faces Nunzio, when helping Ghostbusters. The twins hate Chloe for what she did to Zoe. They also hate Malty, Innominat, Artorius, Kurow, and other criminals who, as biological, adopted, or foster brothers, hurt their closest siblings. They are archenemies of Nene and Nono Motoe. In a rare moment of sympathy, they comfort the broken Saya Kisaragi, with one brushing a tear from her cheek. They hate Kanako and Kuroto as Kisaragi traitors. Yusuke develops his fighting techniques with William, Maehara, Miura, Marc, Hirata, and other heroes in football. He also imitates Marie's movements; though she is a skullgirls ghost, he cares for her knowing she was a good girl before her death and is not actually afraid of her.
A moment of emotional significance occurs when Yusuke, usually cheerful, tells his twin brother that his knee injury was worse than expected and would make a return to pro soccer unlikely; this conversation happens while it is raining outside the hospital room.
