Description
Kannō Bosatsu (Avalokiteśvara/Kannon) is a deity of boundless compassion and mercy, responding to even the faintest call for salvation from believers. This bodhisattva manifests in thirty-three distinct forms, including variations like the thousand-armed Kannon and eleven-faced Kannon. Followers affectionately call them "Kannon-sama."

Within the narrative, Kannō Bosatsu embodies a maternal kindness and nurturing care towards other buddhas. They share a close fraternal bond with Seishi Bosatsu (Mahāsthāmaprāpta), working together to support fellow deities, a bond reflected in Seishi Bosatsu's appreciation for Kannō Bosatsu's homemade onigiri.

Interactions with Taishakuten reveal complexity; Kannō Bosatsu often expresses frustration over Taishakuten's single-mindedness and impulsive actions, yet consistently places steadfast trust in him, indicating a foundation of mutual respect despite their philosophical differences.
