Kagetsu leads the Rabbit Team (Usa Team), a group of lowerclassman kunoichi trainees within the secluded all-female Akane Class. She sports short, spiky brown hair often kept slightly messy, accentuated by a distinctive flower hair ornament on her right side. Her standard outfit is a long-sleeved keikogi robe worn with black spats, and she often goes barefoot during activities.

Her personality radiates cheerfulness, energy, liveliness, and kindness. Kagetsu possesses a powerful passion for singing, pouring dedicated effort into composing songs and delivering heartfelt performances. This intense focus can sometimes trigger creative slumps under the weight of her responsibilities. Nevertheless, she remains hardworking and consistently strives to create quality music.

Kagetsu specializes in Song Arts (歌術), wielding a beautiful singing voice described as enchanting and captivating. Her voice engrosses listeners so deeply, including fellow character Rindou, that they become completely absorbed. Her primary role involves crafting original lyrics and composing music for the village's regular recital events. She collaborates closely on these musical activities with her Rabbit Team members, Mukuge and Hototogisu. As leader, she guides and supports her teammates.
