Movie
Description
Daikaku Kokujōji reigned as the Second King, the Golden King, wielding immense power that established him among the most formidable Kings. His authority directly governed Japan's national economy, granting him significant behind-the-scenes influence over the country's structural stability. Officially holding the A+ power ranking, the highest designation, he was recognized as nearly invincible, a status acknowledged even by peers like Reisi Munakata.

Historically, Daikaku served as the Japanese lieutenant to Adolf K. Weismann, the First King. This partnership made them equals among the original seven Kings, a peerage unmatched by later Kings. Following Weismann's transformation into the Silver King, Shiro, Daikaku became his protector and primary confidant, concealing Shiro's survival and location after the first season's events. This role ended when the Green Clan infiltrated his headquarters' database.

A critical aspect of Daikaku's legacy was his decades-long containment of the Dresden Slate's power. Using a substantial portion of his abilities, he suppressed the Slate's influence, inadvertently causing subsequent Kings to emerge only within specific regions of Japan. This constant energy expenditure did not diminish his overwhelming strength, demonstrated when he decisively defeated Nagare Hisui, the Green King—another A+-ranked King. His role positioned him as a global safeguard against the Slate's unchecked power.

Flashbacks depicted a handsome young Daikaku as lieutenant, contrasting his older appearance. These also revealed a possible romantic connection with Claudia Weismann, Adolf's sister, adding emotional depth to his backstory, particularly regarding her death in the Dresden bombings.

During *Missing Kings*, Daikaku's absence was explained by his travels with Shiro aboard an airship. By this stage, he was approaching his life's end and passed away by the movie's conclusion. His death created a power vacuum, enabling the Green Clan to advance plans previously hindered by his presence. His final act transferred the responsibility of containing the Dresden Slate to other Kings, marking a pivotal shift.

In the spin-off *The Idol K*, Daikaku's jurisdiction over entertainment companies is noted, where figures like Yashiro Isana operated under his oversight. His direct involvement in that storyline remained minimal, serving as a background element in the corporate structure.
