Description
Elliot Gurnberg Stratmann is president of the Marleen Company, a Stohess District-based trading business. He possesses a rugged look with brown eyes, broad shoulders, and combed-back dirty blond hair, often complemented by a thick mustache. He consistently wears well-made suits.

Stratmann maintains a detached and indifferent demeanor. Despite reporting his daughter Carly's disappearance to the Military Police, he shows no urgency or distress over their inaction. He openly criticizes their corruption and inefficiency, demonstrating sharp intuition about others' honesty.

His company suffered major losses after Wall Maria's fall, drastically reducing its scale to only carriage services. His chemistry graduate daughter, Carly, proposed producing the illegal drug coderoin to restore his wealth, securing his agreement to sell solely within the royal capital using his carriage drivers for concealment. Stratmann later breached this agreement by distributing outside the capital, prompting Carly to flee with her lover, Wayne Eisner.

Responding to Carly's disappearance, Stratmann hired thugs Lou and Wald to find her. Discovering they partnered with Wayne to hold Carly hostage for ransom, he arranged a handoff date while also filing a search request with the Military Police. During an investigation led by officer Annie Leonhart, Stratmann revealed limited knowledge of Carly's personal life, admitting their daily dinners focused strictly on drug trade business.

Stratmann later visited Wayne's apartment. During a confrontation where Wayne attempted to rob him, Stratmann killed Wayne. To divert suspicion, he manipulated Lou and Wald into confronting Annie at Kemper's apartment, hoping they'd be framed for the murder. He also left a misleading note for Annie implicating them. Confronted by Annie with evidence of matching cigarette butts from the crime scene, Stratmann confessed to the killing, citing Wayne's attempted theft.

Annie chose not to arrest him. Together, they disposed of Wayne's corpse in Stohess District's industrial waste area. During this, Stratmann confirmed his dinners with Carly centered on coordinating the coderoin operation. As they parted, he offered Annie an open dinner invitation, which she declined. His company faced inevitable financial decline following Carly's permanent departure.

Stratmann's relationship with Carly is transactional and strained; their interactions solely managed the drug trade, with Carly producing coderoin out of pity for his lost wealth. His decision to break their agreement directly caused her flight and his subsequent violent actions to control the situation.
