Description
Kintoki appears as a supporting character in the Garo animated franchise, first introduced in the "Garo: Crimson Moon" series and later in the film "Usuzumizakura: Garo" ("The Fleeting Cherry Blossom"). Originally an orphan, he was discovered and raised by the Makai Alchemist Seimei alongside Raikou, the Garo armor bearer. This upbringing forged him into a close companion within their group, shaping his aspiration to become a Makai Knight with Raikou as his admired role model.
In combat, Kintoki wields dual swords, notably during the conflict in "The Fleeting Cherry Blossom." This battle involves a Horror connected to an ancient cherry blossom tree and a revenge scheme by siblings Tokimaru and Akira against Emperor Michinaga. He fights alongside Raikou, Seimei, and the Makai Knight Yasusuke to halt the Horror threat.
Kintoki's lack of romantic experience occasionally causes misunderstandings, such as innocent remarks misinterpreted by Seimei as flirtation. His dynamic with Raikou and Seimei remains unchanged from "Crimson Moon" to the film, sustaining his role as their steadfast ward and companion.
