Description
Tenka Kumou, eldest son of the Kumo family and 14th head of the Cloud Shrine, shouldered responsibility for his younger brothers, Soramaru and Chuutarou, after their parents fell to a fox-masked Fuuma assassin. A near-fatal spinal wound sustained while shielding Soramaru forced him to undergo a government experiment implanting Orochi cells—a procedure granting immense power at the cost of dependency on stabilizing medication.

Once a Yamainu Squad member, he abandoned military pursuits to safeguard his siblings, cloaking his anxieties about his unstable Orochi vessel status and leadership burdens behind a charismatic, carefree exterior. To spare Soramaru further trauma, he buried the truth of their parents’ demise and his own monstrous alterations, even falsely confessing to hosting the Orochi to divert danger from his brother.

His orchestrated public execution, staged by authorities, fractured his brothers’ lives: Chuutarou sought vengeance through a perilous alliance with antagonist Kagami Naoto, while Soramaru faltered under grief and unexpected leadership until Tenka’s survival emerged. Post-Orochi battles left Tenka confined to a wheelchair, his body broken yet resolve unyielding.

Years later, he mended ties with childhood friend Sousei Abeno, their shared visit to paternal gravesites closing old wounds over his choice to abandon duty for family. His dynamic with Shirasu Kinjou—the Fuuma leader who slaughtered his parents—persisted as a knot of grudging respect and lingering connection, unresolved yet acknowledged.

A lifelong advocate for familial bonds, Tenka championed protection over power, urging Soramaru to eclipse his legacy. He clung to laughter as armor against despair, believing steadfastly in shielding others with light even as shadows clawed at his own heart.
