Ō Hōi, also known as Hae-jin Oh, is a world-class archer and Blader from Korea, notable as the first Korean blader to appear in the series. He possesses tanned skin, spiky and curled dark gray hair, and striking red eyes that shift to a brilliant gold when he performs special moves. His tall, muscular frame is typically clad in a one-sleeved black sweatshirt, red pants, red shoes with yellow overlays, and dark-yellow armor plating edged in silver at his waist and left shoulder. Quiet, friendly, and gentle by nature, Ō Hōi shows particular kindness toward his friends. He is supportive, as seen when he refused to cancel a match with Aiger Akabane to avoid letting him down. Though not prone to frequent smiles or laughter, he gradually becomes more expressive of these emotions after forming bonds with Aiger, Naru Akabane, and others. He harbors a significant fear of snakes, or ophidiophobia, which surfaces upon encountering a snake-carrying opponent. Additionally, the healthy smoothies he prepares are notorious for their unpleasant taste to others. His background includes state-of-the-art training as an archery star and world-class athlete, honing his phenomenal vision, physical strength, and concentration. His launch power is so exceptional that it broke a Power Test Machine during eliminations for the Lúinor Cup. Shortly after arriving, he met and quickly befriended Aiger and Naru Akabane. He applies his archery expertise to develop a unique Beyblade launching style. Ō Hōi’s primary Beyblade is the Stamina Type Archer Hercules 13 Eternal, equipped with a blue Level Chip. Its special moves include Endless Spin, where Hercules retracts its shield to boost centrifugal force and uses its Eternal Performance Tip to minimize stamina loss, and Archer Strike, where it capitalizes on an opponent’s attack to scale the Beystadium and then descends along the slope, gathering speed and power for a counterattack—a technique reminiscent of Wakiya Murasaki’s Shield Crash.
