Description
Yūto Suoh starts as a Japanese high school student accidentally transported to the world of Yggdrasil while taking a selfie before a shrine's divine mirror, separating him from his childhood friend Mitsuki Shimoya. In Yggdrasil—a Norse mythology-inspired world set in Earth's Late Bronze Age—he is adopted by the Wolf Clan. The unexpected decision by patriarch Farbauti to name Yūto his successor over his own son, Loptr, sparks conflict. Loptr kills Farbauti in rage and flees, thrusting Yūto into leadership despite his inexperience and lack of innate abilities.

Physically, Yūto possesses average height, black hair with a distinctive ahoge (cowlick), and purple eyes. He initially wears his school uniform but later adopts attire suited to Yggdrasil. His personality blends kindness and naivety with strong moral convictions, provoking anger when he witnesses injustice. He demonstrates strategic intelligence, adaptability, and a commitment to fair leadership, though he grapples with self-doubt and perfectionism. A persistent desire to return to his original world and reunite with Mitsuki drives him.

Yūto's solar-powered smartphone, linking him to 21st-century knowledge, becomes central to his rule. He introduces advanced military tactics and technologies to the Bronze Age-level Wolf Clan, including phalanx formations, war wagons, and cavalry raids inspired by historical figures like Alexander the Great. He studies texts such as Sun Tzu’s *The Art of War* and Machiavelli’s *The Prince* for strategic insight. Despite no inherent magical power, he eventually becomes an Einherjar—a warrior blessed with a rune.

His relationships are complex. He maintains contact with Mitsuki via his smartphone; she later joins him in Yggdrasil, becoming his first wife and bearing his children. Through oath ceremonies in Yggdrasil, he forms familial bonds: Felicia (who summoned him, later his concubine), Linnea (former Horn Clan patriarch, concubine after her clan's defeat), and Sigrun (a Wolf Clan Einherjar, later concubine). He also gains sworn daughters: Ingrid, Albertina, and Christina. His rivalry with Loptr, now patriarch of the Panther Clan, fuels much conflict as Loptr seeks vengeance for losing the Wolf Clan leadership.

Yūto evolves from a reluctant leader into a confident strategist. He secures victories against clans like the Horn, Hoof, Lightning, and Panther using tactics such as leveraging terrain to trigger floods and exploiting enemy weaknesses. He faces internal conflict over prophecies linking him to Norse figures like Surtr (trigger of Ragnarok) and Fenrir, raising fears he might destroy Yggdrasil. Despite these forewarnings, he focuses on protecting his clan and allies. His deepening ties to Yggdrasil complicate his initial goal of returning home; he ultimately marries Mitsuki there while maintaining his oath-bound relationships.
