Soichiro Ichinose is the biological father of Subaru and Isuzu Ichinose. A researcher for the Earth Union, he was the creator of the multipurpose craft known as the Durandal. His consuming dedication to his work caused him to neglect his family, resulting in Isuzu's deep resentment toward him and Subaru's distant acknowledgment of him as a father.
