Description
Mogu is a Three-eyed Onimaro variant Yo-kai, possessing a light grey body, sharp fangs, prominent incisors, and three distinct eyes. He forms a trio with Ogu and Togu. Originally arriving on Earth within the Oni King's swarm, their mission involved inspiriting humans to extract malice. They targeted the lonely Touma Tsukinami, posing as his friends and granting him control over other Onimaro. Their allegiance shifted dramatically when Touma shielded them from the Oni King's attack. Witnessing Natsume Amano, Whisper, and Jibanyan rescue Touma, Mogu and his companions chose self-sacrifice, merging with Touma's body to save his life, transforming from antagonists to allies.
Later, when a fragment of the Oni King within Touma's heart caused illness, Mogu actively fought the threat internally. During this conflict, Mogu brought Natsume and Akinori Arihoshi inside Touma to aid Ogu and Togu. After Suzaku helped destroy the fragment, the trio formally entrusted their Keystone to Touma and joined the Yo-kai Detective Agency. Mogu also developed a friendship with Junior.
Linguistically, Mogu consistently ends sentences with the verbal tick "Yay". While Togu usually initiates the trio's dialogue, Mogu frequently concludes their statements. Mogu demonstrated cultural awareness by referencing the 1960s anime *Hakushon Daimao*.
Within *Yo-kai Watch 4*, Mogu and his trio are automatically befriended via Mystery Way 6 in Chapter 6. Classified as a Fast Shooter-type Yo-kai, the trio possesses specific level 21 base stats: 159 HP, 82 YP, 28 STR, 76 SPR, 37 PDEF, and 54 TDEF. They lack an elemental attribute, a rarity shared only with Nosirs and Snottle among playable Yo-kai.
