Daigaku Kanehira, known as Kinpira, is a male elementary school student attending Moriwaki Elementary. He possesses black hair and black eyes. Kinpira acts as a bully within the story, specifically targeting Shuhei Amamiya after Shuhei transfers to the school and reveals his ability to play the piano. His bullying manifests in a dare challenging Shuhei to find and play a rumored cursed piano located in a nearby forest. This dare directly provokes Shuhei's first meeting with Kai Ichinose, who claims the forest piano and demonstrates he can play it despite its damaged state. Kinpira's role remains confined to antagonizing Shuhei and Kai throughout their childhood arc.
