Description
You Keika, a 23-year-old fortune teller and part-time computer repair technician, perished in a truck accident, binding his spirit to exorcist Ki Tanmoku as his eternal shadow. His death regressed his form to his middle school self—dark blue hair in a low ponytail, face-framing bangs, and olive-green eyes that later shifted to purple under external forces. Initially clad in traditional jade robes, he later wore a white tunic and blue coat gifted by Ki.

Orphaned young, he survived through scavenged electronics and fortune-telling, unaware of his lineage as heir to legendary exorcist Nei You/Shisei. This heritage granted him mastery of the Rakugetsu sword, a weapon only his blood could wield. At times, he channeled Shisei’s form—longer hair, black robes, surging confidence—though each transformation risked his soul’s integrity.

Reluctantly bound to Ki to escape becoming a vengeful spirit, their bond morphed from hostility to fierce loyalty. Keika sacrificed the spiritual braid forged from Ki’s first baby hair, severing their symbolic tie to restore Ki’s power, even as it fractured his own soul. His attachment to Ki anchored him to the living world, defying dissolution despite mortal peril.

Boisterous and quick-witted, Keika masked vulnerability with humor, freely expressing indignation over his untimely death or delight in newfound spectral abilities like flight. Though dismissed as frivolous by the Tanmoku clan, he endured their scorn without retaliation, his gentleness unwavering. Subtle romantic tension flickered in blushes and protective acts, their bond deepening into soulmate-level devotion rooted in duty and interdependence.

A buried childhood connection surfaced: Keika once shielded a bullied boy who became Ki, though neither recognized their shared past. This revelation solidified their bond, with Ki honoring Keika through funeral rites and vows of familial belonging. Embracing his dual legacy as protector and heir, Keika pledged unwavering allegiance to Ki, balancing ancestral duty with hard-won self-acceptance, ready to defy both spirit and mortal realms to remain at his side.
