Description
Aira Nanahoshi represents a parallel version of Pretty Rhythm: Aurora Dream's Aira Harune within the Kiratto Pri☆Chan continuity. Once an idol, she now pursues a fashion design career as a member of the group Designers Thirteen, which evolved from Designers Seven through Designers Ten. She crafts designs for the Sweet Honey brand, reflecting her lovely-type idol classification.
Her appearance mirrors her counterpart, featuring light auburn chest-length hair styled with partially curled sections over the shoulders, short choppy bangs, and short forelocks covering her ears. She has red-orange eyes and typically wears pink and black clothing. Friendly, helpful, and mature, Aira retains a childlike and clumsy side.
A significant relationship exists with top idol Anju Shiratori. They first met when Anju was younger at the Kirajuku Fureai Park. Acting as a mentor, Aira designed Anju's first coord, introduced her to the PriChan platform, and guided her idol development. She later encouraged Anju to compete independently in the Designers Full Cup.
Her name reflects her background: "Nanahoshi" (七星) meaning "seven stars," references Designers Seven and the seven prism elements (adorable, pop, cool, sexy, feminine, ethnic, star). "Aira" (あいら), in hiragana, may derive from words meaning "lovely" or relate to a pun on "I love you."
Distinctive traits include the manifestation of pink glitter and sparkles around her, a characteristic visible from episode 46 onward, and her noted ability to speak English. She debuted as an idol in a duet, making her the franchise's first parallel protagonist to do so and the only such protagonist in Kiratto Pri☆Chan to perform an original song not from her source series. Her birthday is September 3, making her a Virgo.
