Description
Pneumonia Coccus is a gram-positive bacterial pathogen embodied as a towering, skeletal figure draped in jagged purple armor. Its form merges insectoid grasshopper-like limbs with curved bird talons, while blade-tipped tentacles sprout from its back. A pallid white-and-gray face contrasts its armored body. In combat, it leverages agile strikes with claws and lashing tentacles, shielded by a polysaccharide capsule that thwarts immune defenses by resisting phagocytosis.
The bacterium infiltrates the lungs, dodging neutrophil attacks through rapid replication and deploying obscuring smokescreens or sticky nets. It capitalizes on a disoriented red blood cell’s vulnerability, stowing away in a cargo container to reach the lungs. When confronted by a neutrophil, a violent skirmish ensues, culminating in the pathogen’s expulsion through a forceful sneeze. Later incursions see it ally with Staphylococcus Aureus to exploit skin abrasions, while familial bonds surface briefly, identifying it as a pneumococcus sibling.
Balancing volatile aggression with shrewd tactics, it navigates using anatomical charts, hijacks cellular transport, and vents frustration when thwarted. Spin-off media cement its recurring antagonist role, though overarching character evolution across films or OVAs is unspecified.
