Description
Marco Ghione serves as a corporal in the United Earth combat engineering corps aboard the emigrant vessel *Aratrum*. Though his background lacks detailed documentation, his surname hints at Italian lineage. Throughout the trilogy’s events, he joins the mission to reclaim Earth from Godzilla, balancing skepticism and pragmatism in his decisions.

During early strategy debates, Marco openly questions humanity’s capacity to defeat Godzilla, emphasizing its survival of a 150-nuclear-warhead assault totaling 40 megatons. He challenges the safety protocols of the subspace warp-jump to Earth, tempering the crew’s anticipation with caution. After volunteering for the ground mission, he confronts the aftermath of the battle against Godzilla Filius—the smaller offspring of Godzilla Earth—scouring the battleground with fellow soldiers.

When Godzilla Earth emerges, Marco endures the cataclysm but remains among the diminishing human ranks. Later, he encounters the Houtua, a humanoid species inhabiting the reclaimed planet. He engages in skirmishes against hostile creatures and navigates strained exchanges with the tribe, though his involvement stays peripheral.

Marco’s story concludes during King Ghidorah’s onslaught in the trilogy’s climax. While joining others in praying for Ghidorah’s intervention against Godzilla, he perishes beneath a collapsing bridge amid the chaos of the entity’s attack.

His character maintains a pragmatic worldview, frequently challenging tactical decisions and survival probabilities. A fleeting moment of regret surfaces when he confronts Haruo Sakaki over the human toll of their war, though this introspection does not redirect his path. No expanded backstory or additional narrative arcs exist beyond the core trilogy’s scope.
