TV-Series
Description
Ami Enan, also called Amlita Enan, is the daughter of Shake Hanz Corporation CEO Enzo Bron and Japanese national Yuko Enan. Her parents divorced amicably when she was young, and her mother gained full custody. At age six, child traffickers abducted Ami, intending to exploit her and others for illicit photography and trafficking. Malicious rumors blaming Yuko for the abduction led to her suicide.
While captive, Ami displayed extraordinary talent in computer programming. She repurposed a discarded computer to create her own video game, prompting her captors to exploit her skills for profit. Her major work included building the dark web site Marco Polo and its transaction system. She escaped at fourteen, taking refuge in the server bank facility known as the Twin Towers. Forced seclusion fostered melancholy and distrust of the outside world, leading her to interact exclusively through the internet via her self-made interface module "Underworld."
Her life shifted when Lupin III and his associates tracked her down to obtain Marco Polo's passcodes. In exchange for helping them rob the site, she asked Lupin to "steal" her from isolation. After Marco Polo's administrators placed a bounty on Lupin, Ami faced repeated danger and sustained injuries during the manhunt. These experiences exhilarated her, prompting emotional openness and deep trust in Lupin beyond their initial deal.
Following Marco Polo's takedown, Ami enrolled in a girls' boarding school seeking a normal life and real friendships. She initially struggled socially, relying on hacking skills, but befriended Dolma Sinha, crown princess of Padar, recognizing Dolma's eccentricities. When terrorists occupied the school, Ami was imprisoned but freed by Fujiko Mine. She then partnered with Fujiko to liberate the school and rescue the abducted Dolma.
Ami later confronted her father, Enzo Bron, when Lupin was injured, revealing her identity. When Enzo pointed a gun at Lupin, Ami aimed a weapon at her father but was stopped by Lupin. She ultimately chose to stay with Enzo rather than join Lupin's gang permanently.
Physically, Ami has pink or auburn curly hair, often with a bang covering her left eye, blue eyes, and fair skin. She typically wears casual attire: jeans, a mint green shirt, a celeste jacket, and brown shoes. Her online persona "Hedgehog Girl" uses a profile picture of a hedgehog with green spikes; she maintains 742 followers while following only one user.
Personality-wise, Ami started emotionally detached due to her traumatic past, viewing life through a binary lens of trust. Experiences with Lupin's group fostered gradual emotional openness, leading her to express genuine concern for others like Dolma and Lupin. She developed a strong-willed, independent nature, though discomfort in group settings remained. Her character arc evolved from a withdrawn technophile to someone capable of deep bonds and directly confronting real-world challenges.
