Description
Howlkor is a Cerberus-like Bakugan from the reboot series, first appearing in *Bakugan Battle Planet*. An intensely aggressive competitor focused solely on victory, his fierce nature often unnerves his human partner, Lightning. Howlkor chose Lightning under the misconception that the boy’s animal instincts would make him a supremely aggressive battler. Lightning gradually develops a more dominant personality to better manage and control Howlkor, a shift that aligns with the Bakugan’s warrior spirit.

Discovered by Lightning after the second Great Collision, Howlkor’s early training session with Dan and Drago resulted in an incident where his Prismatic Bolt attack launched Drago through a house window, drawing the attention of both a displeased homeowner and Kravitz. Kravitz later engineered a situation forcing the Awesome Ones to surrender their Bakugan, including Howlkor. They were reclaimed when Kravitz’s device was dislodged, reactivating them. Howlkor then helped escort civilians to safety during a falling weather satellite crisis, aiding in restoring public trust in Bakugan.

When Lightning discovered Artulean, Howlkor engaged in a brawl against Magnus Black and Nillious, who tried to turn Artulean against the Awesome Ones. Howlkor and Lightning succeeded in keeping Artulean as an ally.

Howlkor undergoes multiple evolutionary changes. His standard evolved form is Hyper Howlkor. Later, he achieves two Elemental Evolved Forms: Howlkor Strength Mode, represented in the physical game as Neo Howlkor, and Howlkor Speed Mode, represented as a colored variant of Core Howlkor.

He serves as Lightning’s primary partner Bakugan for much of the series, though he is temporarily replaced by Ferascal in *Geogan Rising*.

Howlkor commands numerous abilities and wields Baku-Gear. His known abilities include Umbral Slash, Prismatic Bolt, Sonic Shield, Ghost Shadow, and Platinum Thunder. He is equipped with the MechaClaws Baku-Gear.
