Description
Abandoned at birth, Peko Pekoyama was adopted by the prominent yakuza Kuzuryu Clan. Raised alongside heir Fuyuhiko Kuzuryu, she underwent rigorous training from infancy to become his personal bodyguard and hitman. This conditioning molded her self-perception as a "tool" existing solely to execute Fuyuhiko's commands, suppressing her identity and emotions. Though Fuyuhiko rejected this dynamic and viewed her as a person, Peko persisted in believing her worth derived exclusively from her utility to him.

Her training produced exceptional swordsmanship, earning her the title Ultimate Swordswoman. She wielded a shinai concealing a metal katana blade, demonstrating skills formidable enough to challenge the Ultimate Soldier and displaying tactical ingenuity in combat. Peko projected a stern, stoic, and intimidating demeanor, often appearing cold or emotionless—her presence even frightening animals. Beneath this exterior lay a kind, gentle nature with deep affection for animals (particularly pandas) and classmates in Hope's Peak Academy's Class 77-B. She expressed regret over protective failures and advocated against violence.

Her absolute loyalty to Fuyuhiko stemmed from both conditioned duty and genuine care, including hidden romantic feelings. Struggling to express emotions like smiling—deemed unnecessary for a tool—she learned through interactions that smiles arise from heartfelt warmth. She intended to ask Fuyuhiko on a date post-escape.

Following brainwashing by Junko Enoshima, Peko became a Remnant of Despair, committing global atrocities alongside Fuyuhiko. Captured and placed in the Neo World Program, her memories reset to pre-brainwashing (retaining Fuyuhiko recognition). During the Killing School Trip, she killed Mahiru Koizumi to shield Fuyuhiko from revenge consequences, framing herself as sole culprit. She was subsequently executed.

In Nagito Komaeda's subconscious illusion (*Super Danganronpa 2.5*), Peko appeared in an idealized Hope's Peak Academy. After Kazuichi Soda's murder by the World Destroyer, she investigated and confirmed foul play. Seeking vengeance alongside Fuyuhiko and Sonia Nevermind, she witnessed their deaths, escaped injured, implored Nagito to avenge Fuyuhiko, then returned to fight the World Destroyer and died. This illusion reflected her protective nature, loyalty, and combat role within Nagito's psyche.

Post-Neo World Program events, Peko awakened from her coma in the real world, cured of brainwashing.
