Zafira, a guardian of the Wolkenritter forged by the ancient Belkan-era Book of Darkness, bears the title “Guard Beast of the Shield” and epithet “Blue Wolf.” He functions as both protector and warrior, prioritizing defense and combat.

Two forms define his existence: a lupine guise with dark blue fur, white accents along the mane, underbelly, tail tip, and ear tufts, complemented by crimson eyes and sharp fangs; and a humanoid form as a muscular, dark-skinned man retaining wolf ears and a tail, clad in blue tactical armor crafted by Hayate Yagami. The attire incorporates reinforced gauntlets and boots to augment his physical prowess.

Unlike Mid-Childan familiars, Zafira exists as a guard beast, independent of contractual bonds, yet stands as an equal within the Wolkenritter despite lacking knight status. His allegiance remains exclusively devoted to Hayate, his mistress.

Calm, reserved, and methodical, Zafira communicates succinctly, often through action over words. Though uneasy with excessive attention from children in his smaller wolf form, he harbors a quiet fondness for them. His combat expertise lies in barrier magic, defensive spells, and unarmed strikes, leveraging his wolf form’s claws and fangs.

As part of Hayate’s Riot Force 6, he aids missions ranging from the search for Vivio to instructing youths in “Yagami-style” Strike Arts. His steadfast loyalty and composed nature counterbalance the fiery temperaments of his allies, while his dual forms enable adaptability in both battle and diplomacy, cementing his role as a multifaceted guardian.
