Description
Ōma Tokita emerged from the lawless zone known as The Inside, surviving there nameless for twelve years. His life shifted when he attempted mutual annihilation with yakuza enforcer Ando Jiro by leaping from a building mid-conflict. This display of resolve impressed Tokita Niko, who rescued him and became his mentor. Niko named him "Tokita Ōma", merging the Tokita and Shichiohba Ward names bordering The Inside, and trained him in the Niko Style. This martial art comprises four katas: Adamantine (muscle control/defense), Flame (speed/footwork), Redirection (force manipulation), and Water (grappling/joint locks).

A pivotal trial occurred in Gakigahara Forest, where Niko subjected him to ten grueling days of relentless attacks while restricted by wrist and ankle weights, permitting minimal rest. Through this ordeal, he achieved absolute focus and mastered Demonsbane—the Niko Style’s ultimate technique integrating all katas to redirect and amplify an opponent’s force. He bore no resentment toward Niko for these harsh methods.

His past intersected with "The Other Tokita Niko", who forcibly implanted the Advance technique—overclocking cardiovascular output to enhance speed and power—during a hostile encounter. Its activation caused memory loss and violent episodes, including a rampage triggered by Kiryu Setsuna that required Niko’s intervention. He later awoke to find Niko mortally wounded by Genzan Taira, vowing vengeance.

Initially arrogant and dismissive, he displayed condescension in fights and short-tempered violence—such as assaulting employer Nogi Hideki over a denied tournament slot. Raised without societal norms, he addressed people formally with full names and struggled with literacy. Regaining lost memories softened his demeanor, making him more open to casual interaction with fellow fighters and tolerating Karla’s persistent romantic advances.

He joined the Kengan Association under Nogi Group, later representing Yamashita Trading Co. managed by Kazuo Yamashita. Early victories included defeating Lihito by neutralizing "Razor’s Edge" through disrupted acceleration, and Kaburagi Koji despite underhanded tactics. Against Sekibayashi Jun, he first intentionally activated Advance to endure severe punishment, risking organ damage and memory degradation.

During the Kengan Annihilation Tournament, he overcame Inaba Ryo (shattering his jaw through hair restraints), Kure Raian (matching Removal-enhanced strength via controlled Advance), and Imai Cosmo (outmaneuvering submission expertise). His final match against Kuroki Gensai ended in mutual respect after he disabled Kuroki’s arm in a near-victory. The tournament reignited his pursuit of Kiryu Setsuna, whose obsession stemmed from their shared past.

Post-tournament, he mentored Narushima Koga after an initially hostile encounter, advising him in sparring. He participated in the Kengan Association vs. Purgatory Tournament, defeating Rolón Donaire via precise techniques like Flashing Steel: Smash. Yearly battles against Kure Raian refined his Advance control, minimizing physical toll. He maintained protective loyalty toward Kazuo Yamashita, uniquely addressing him by his full name as a bond.

His fighting style evolved to incorporate Redirection Kata for deflecting attacks (e.g., Wakatsuki Takeshi’s strikes) and Chi Blockage for nerve disruption. Shen Wulong noted his physical proximity during later encounters. He continued honing abilities until declining from accumulated injuries and Advance strain, leaving a legacy through Koga and influenced fighters.
