He possesses a muscular build, stands 176 cm tall, and sports dark brown, nearly black shaggy hair styled similarly to Izuku Midoriya's, along with diamond-shaped brown eyes. His hero costume features a gold jaw-guard, green shoulder covers, grey or black chest plates with gold trimmings, black elbow pads, green wrist guards, baggy pants, and black boots. Post-graduation, his hair is cut short and partially dyed dark green. Yo presents a friendly, polite, and sociable exterior, frequently complimenting others and offering handshakes, as demonstrated during his introduction to U.A. High's Class 1-A. This affability serves as a calculated facade to lower opponents' guard. His underlying personality is strategic, competitive, and prone to abrupt mood shifts, especially when frustrated or challenged. He views his manipulative tendencies as "tactfulness" and exhibits strong leadership, coordinating ambushes and maintaining calm under pressure. Despite an opportunistic streak, he acknowledges rivals' efforts and resilience. His Quirk, Vibrate, generates intense vibrations through physical contact, primarily used on the ground to create destructive tremors or earthquakes. In the exam's rescue phase, he aided civilians and confronted the villainous Gang Orca, planning to exploit his vibration resistance against Gang Orca's sonic abilities. Though temporarily incapacitated, he later collaborated with Izuku Midoriya to repel the threat. In the Dark Hero Arc, now a third-year, Yo and his classmate Tatami Nakagame attempted to evacuate civilians amid rising villain activity. They encountered the fugitive villain Muscular. Yo engaged Muscular alone to allow Tatami to evacuate others but was overpowered and nearly killed. His vibrations inadvertently damaged Muscular's tendons, weakening him before Izuku intervened. In the Final War Arc, Yo participated in the nationwide conflict against the Paranormal Liberation Front. He helped corner and capture Skeptic, a key villain hacking U.A.'s systems, alongside Ms. Joke and Hound Dog. Later, he joined the mass teleportation to Mt. Fuji to reinforce Izuku against Tomura Shigaraki. During the battle, Yo used his vibrations to suppress Shigaraki's Quirk attacks, enabling Izuku to land the decisive blow. Eight years after the war, Yo achieved the rank of No. 20 Pro Hero. His personal life includes a romantic relationship with Tatami Nakagame and a shared birthday (May 13) with Neito Monoma.
