Remember originated from a medium to high-income human family. During elementary school, she belonged to the popular crowd and actively bullied socially isolated classmates, notably Kiyoi Mizushima, including acts like dousing Kiyoi with water. Later elementary years sparked her interest in fortune telling. Chosen as a Selector in middle school, she became an LRIG during the First Selector Battles. Assigned as Kiyoi Mizushima's LRIG via a trial deck card intended for Kiyoi—her former victim—Remember manipulated Kiyoi by feigning friendship. She exploited Kiyoi's fixation on her comatose friend, Ayumi Sakaguchi, fostering callousness in battles. After Kiyoi became an Eternal Girl, Remember seized Kiyoi's body and "granted" Kiyoi's wish by disconnecting Ayumi's life support, killing her.

Growing bored with Kiyoi's body, Remember became a Selector again to reclaim her original form. She encountered Kiyoi (now the LRIG Piruluk) and her new Selector, Amika Hashimoto. Remember taunted them about battle rules and emerged victorious after Kiyoi intentionally lost to protect Amika, enabling Remember to regain Eternal Girl status. She tracked down the LRIG inhabiting her original body, proposing a plan to reclaim it. The LRIG rejected her, openly stating dislike for Remember and preference for keeping the body. She trapped Remember inside her own diary, sealing her in perpetual darkness. This imprisonment rendered Remember lifeless and detached, her existence feeling alien. Freed after Mayu's defeat, she returned to human form but grew reclusive, fixated on self-fortune-telling, leading peers to perceive instability.

In Lostorage conflated WIXOSS, Remember's mental state worsened. Rereading her diary, she fixated on her past with Kiyoi, believing reunion would restore normalcy. She obsessively scrawled Kiyoi's name, smudging it from the pages. This attracted the Spirits of the White Room, who offered her a chance to "play" with Kiyoi again. Remember agreed, manifesting as an LRIG in the White Room. She soon appeared before Akira Aoi, an LRIG-less Selector seeking revenge against Kiyoi. Remember introduced herself as Akira's new LRIG, expressing fervent desire to reunite with Kiyoi. Akira accepted, seeing mutual benefit. Carnival observed this development with interest.

As Akira's LRIG, Remember engaged in new Selector Battles aimed at confronting Kiyoi. Her fractured personality merged desperate longing for reconnection with darker impulses to inflict suffering, reflecting her manipulative history. During the final conflict, Remember and Carnival fused into a single entity after being drawn together by Mugen. This amalgamation sought to merge all Selectors and LRIGs into collective oblivion but was ultimately defeated by Kiyoi and her allies.
