Description
Dionysus leads the Dionysus Familia in Orario. He cultivates an image of dignity and approachability, characterized by medium-length blonde hair, emerald eyes, and a slender frame, typically clad in a violet suit with a yellow shirt and white cravat. Publicly, he demonstrates loyalty to gods like Zeus and professes deep concern for his Familia members, especially those targeted or slain. This persona involves actively seeking vengeance for murdered children and forging alliances, such as with Loki Familia, to investigate strange monster appearances.

Beneath this facade lies a profoundly twisted nature. Dionysus is secretly Enyo, meaning "destroyer of the city" in the divine tongue. As Enyo, he masterminds a complex scheme to plunge Orario into chaos, driven by a desire to witness "orgia" – a state of collective mortal madness, despair, and suffering he finds beautiful. He derives pleasure from inflicting indiscriminate fear and pain, even upon his own Familia. He manipulates Filvis Challia, a cursed elf within his Familia, exploiting her loyalty and vulnerability to transform her into his agent, Ein, and later into a Creature, taking pleasure in her grief. Despite this cruelty, he claims a distorted form of love for his Familia. His hatred for Ouranos stems from the god's historical suppression of orgia.

Dionysus exhibits exceptional patience and cunning, waiting years for the right conditions. His intricate plan involves engineering demi-spirits to create a destructive barrier capable of annihilating Orario. Throughout the Sword Oratoria events, he manipulates from the shadows, framing Demeter Familia, utilizing the Knossos labyrinth, coordinating with Evilus factions, sacrificing Familia members to demi-spirit plagues to maintain his cover, and faking his own death.

Loki exposes his identity as Enyo during the final confrontation. Undeterred, Dionysus activates a final contingency, forcing a united effort from Loki, Hermes, Hephaestus, Kali, Freya, Xenos, and Hestia Familias to counter the threat. Bell Cranel's intervention disrupts his plans, leading to the demi-spirits' defeat and Orario's salvation. Facing capture, Dionysus commits suicide to return to Heaven. His death leaves Filvis consumed by remorse, and she perishes soon after. His actions originate from an inability to find pleasure in anything other than mortal suffering, a trait inherent to his divine nature as patron of wine, festivity, ritual madness, and insanity. He maintains a warped sense of honor, adhering to promises like sparing Demeter Familia members in exchange for her cooperation.
