Description
Born into the Kleitos family, Leo Kleitos was Ellen Kleitos’s elder brother. He entered an unofficial engagement with Sistine Fibel during a gathering between the Kleitos and Fibel families. Achieving the mage rank of Quatrede (Rank 4), he joined the Kleitos Magic Academy as a professor specializing in Military Grade Magic. He navigated his family’s political turmoil over heir selection, holding the position of former heir.

Leo Kleitos arrived at Alzano Imperial Magic Academy as a guest professor, sparking mixed faculty reactions—some saw benefit, others suspicion due to his family’s conflicts. His Military Magic lectures impressed students, though concerns arose about teaching destructive magic. During this visit, he revealed his engagement to Sistine Fibel and proposed marriage, dismissing her dream of researching Melgalius’s Sky Castle after her initial rejection. This triggered a confrontation with Glenn Radars, escalating into a magic duel structured as a mock Mage Corps battle between student classes. Leo Kleitos coordinated strategy for Class 4 against Glenn’s Class 2, confident in his tactics. The battle ended in a draw due to Glenn’s students employing unforeseen tactics. Leo Kleitos berated his students for failing to win and refused to concede.

Post-battle, Leo Kleitos showed physical deterioration, appearing sickly and exhausted. He desperately challenged Glenn to another duel but was mocked by associate Jatice Lowfan for his flawed plan to force the marriage for political gain. Jatice noted Alzano Empire interference and revealed Leo Kleitos lacked time to pursue his goals. Leo Kleitos subsequently died from Angel Dust administered by Jatice. After his death, Jatice assumed Leo Kleitos’s identity to manipulate events, including forcing a marriage ceremony with Sistine. Leo Kleitos’s remains were discovered by the Imperial Court Mage Corps. During the confrontation with Jatice (disguised as Leo), Sistine applied Leo Kleitos’s teachings on Wind Magic’s adaptability in combat. His death was officially attributed to Jatice’s scheme to seize the fortunes of the Fibel and Kleitos families, with Glenn receiving recognition for thwarting the plot. Sistine later paid respects at Leo Kleitos’s grave.

Leo Kleitos wielded expertise in Military Grade Magic and Wind Magic, emphasizing the latter’s adaptability despite its difficulty. He employed strategic formations in battle, advocating three-person cells as optimal for trained soldiers. Physically, he appeared as a young blonde-haired, green-eyed man in his academy’s faculty uniform, though stress manifested as exhaustion and eye bags. Initially presenting as polite and reliable, he revealed manipulative tendencies when opposing Sistine’s aspirations. His primary motivation centered on political advancement through marriage, prioritizing family interests over personal connections. Under pressure, his demeanor shifted from composed to hostile, evident in verbal attacks on Sistine and his refusal to accept the mock battle’s draw.
