Movie
Description
Ayaka Shindo operates the Shindou Photo Studio, serving dual purposes as the official appraisal office for the Spirit World Warrior Society and a front for evaluating remnants of defeated youmu. She assesses these remains brought by spirit warriors, determines their monetary value based on appraisal standards, and issues payments accordingly.

Ayaka herself is a youmu entity coexisting in the human world, a nature shared by her assistant, Ai Shindou. She openly acknowledges their supernatural status when discussing the diversity of youmu forms. Ayaka maintains a professional demeanor in her spirit world business dealings.

She possesses specialized knowledge of magical communications and barriers. Ayaka interpreted a magically concealed postcard sent to Akihito Kanbara from his mother, revealing both personal messages and critical warnings about impending supernatural threats. Her studio is protected by detection-blocking barriers capable of disorienting spirit warriors unfamiliar with the location.

Her personality includes moments of dry observational humor, particularly when commenting on Akihito's mother's unconventional behavior within the magical message. She maintains composure during unexpected situations, such as Mitsuki Nase expressing interest in hearing the entire personal transmission.

Physically, Ayaka possesses distinctive ultramarine-colored eyes. This trait was significant enough to inspire an episode title, referencing the historical pigment derived from valuable lapis lazuli renowned during the Renaissance period.

Ayaka interacts with multiple spirit warriors through appraisal work, including Shizuku Ninomiya who visits for evaluations. She demonstrates awareness of significant supernatural events, recalling how five high-ranking spirit warriors were defeated within minutes during the last appearance of the powerful "Hollow Shadow" youmu.

Her establishment functions as an occasional meeting point for characters involved in spirit world affairs, facilitating professional transactions and the exchange of information relevant to supernatural occurrences within their community.
